The Vogels Wick Weeder is a rope wick applicator that efficiently places herbicide on the weed surface, giving good control options over a broad range of weeds and vegetation conditions.
It was designed by Paul Vogels in 1978 for use on his own farm as a low cost method of applying herbicide to escape weeds.

See our field application for control of volunteer glyphosate tolerant canola using 2-4D. We set the wick weeder just above the crop so that we could maximize the amount of surface area of the volunteer plants to be contacted. The end result was that the wick weeder proved to be very efficacious on the plants.
